The moment I first told about the horrific abuses inflicted on me, I never imagined I would be here—filled with a powerful Intent to thrive, seeking to live in UnBound Moreness, and thriving with the supporting foundation of three powerful words: Can, Will, and Yet.

My journey of trauma recovery from a childhood, darkened by severe sexual abuse, abandonment, rejection, humiliation, betrayal, and injustice led me out of living a life filled with painfully excruciating rage to living my life Deliberately UnBound.

So, what is UnBound Living and why does it matter how I arrived to the present?

It matters because YOU matter to me. Your recovery matters. I am aware my way of being and doing is not for everyone—this isn’t a “must-do” process to gain freedom from your past traumas. You matter to me because I know you CAN leverage the past to make a difference in how you trust yourself in the present.

You CAN leverage the past to make a difference in how you trust yourself in the present. You WILL discover your unique strength, resilience, and courage to live deliberately. And even if it feels like freedom is out of reach now, there’s the promise of *yet*—the acknowledgment that your journey is not over, and each step forward matters.

What is UnBound Living?

UnBound Living is a way of being and doing that emerges from embracing your authentic self without the weight of others’ expectations or the limitations of your past. It’s about recognizing your power to thrive despite the pain you’ve endured, shaping a life grounded in Awareness, Acknowledgement, Acceptance, Application, and Appreciation.

Living UnBound doesn’t mean ignoring or dismissing your trauma; instead, it means transforming the lessons from those experiences into a deliberate choice to live freely, fully, and authentically. It’s about deciding that while the past has shaped you, it does not define your future.

For those just beginning their journey, UnBound Living may feel like a distant goal. And that’s okay. The concept of *yet* is for you—acknowledging where you are now while holding space for what is possible.

And, for those further along in healing, UnBound Living is about deepening your connection with yourself. It’s about asking: How can I live more authentically and deliberately in this moment?

Why does it matter how I arrived to the present?

Because understanding my journey reveals the possibility of yours. Each step I’ve taken—from the darkness of abuse to the light of intentional thriving—serves as a testament to what is possible for anyone who seeks freedom from their past.

It matters because the power to change your life comes from recognizing your own truths, even in the face of disappointment or fear. My story shows that recovery isn’t about becoming someone new but reclaiming who you’ve always been.

If you are just starting, know that every small step forward matters. If you’ve been on this path for a while, know that continuing to trust yourself is part of the process. Each of us has our own timeline and path, but the common thread is this: You CAN heal. You WILL thrive. And even if you feel like you aren’t there *yet*, your journey is unfolding exactly as it should.

You matter, and your journey matters. I want to encourage you to pause and reflect: What does *yet* mean to you? Where might your life open up if you allow yourself to believe in your capacity to live fully and authentically?

UnBound Living is not about perfection or following someone else’s path—it’s about finding your own. My hope is that by reading this, you may begin to trust in the belief that you CAN heal, you WILL thrive, and even if or when it feels impossible, there is always *yet.*
